Everyone gets the same seven questions. A completed daily dive is locked, and a new set arrives at midnight Pacific. Your anonymous browser cookie keeps your progress, so refreshing does not restart a dive.
What makes an answer rare?
Rarity uses fixed familiarity estimates informed by career records, from Empty Net to Hockey Sicko. Pucks in Deep is a rare answer worth 60 points. These tiers are not percentages of players who picked an answer.
Real results, real rankings
The finish screen shows actual completed daily dives. Your percentage is the share of other finishers you outscored. Ties share a rank. We never add simulated players to the graph.
Built around the record book
Player identities and question eligibility are researched using official NHL records. The game includes 8,834 verified NHL player identities and 32 rotating prompts, checked through October 30, 2026. See Scoring & Sources in the game menu for category links and details.
